The Isles of Barra and Vatersay are the most Southerly inhabited islands in the Outer Hebrides and the most Westerly in the U.K. White Sandy beaches and beautiful scenery .

You can get to the Isle of Barra by air or by ferry. I can see the flight landing from my workshop window. The area i live in is called Eoligarry.

The Eoligarry peninsula is the northernmost part of Barra. Most people visit Eoligarry to climb its low hill for great views, visit a historic church and dun, and head along some superb beaches.
